With two severe PHP vulnerabilities discovered earlier today, I updated some of our internet-facing machines and services to the latest version. Per my understanding, our main services are not even using PHP in their backend, so we shouldn't be worried. Either ways, it was a good excuse to update these machines.
Updated systems:
- Chimay apt installed applications
- This includes nginx which is our web-server
- Had to update some of the repository names, since they had changed since the last update
- Two Ubiquiti switches in 1119 & 1129 (USW-24-POE)
- Our gateway router also needs updating, but I don't have the necessary permission to do that
- Updated apt installed applications on these machines
- megatron, elrond, ws1, ws2, ws3, ws4
- Updated Foswiki plugins
- I believe I also fixed the email registration problem. Should check at some point with a new registration.
Please let me know if you see any unintended changes from these updates. |
