| I am in the process of comparing my model to the pre existing model used for current ligo parameters. the aim is to have 2 studies, 1 where i change the parameters of the existing model to that of A#, remove the CP and add a shield. Another to change my model to the parameter and geometry of the existing ALIGO model (without a CP) and see if our deformation plots produce the same results.
I am having some troubleshooting issues with both models as there appears to be some kind of asymmetric heating happening for the self induced heating. as well as this, i discovered that my model stress doesnt make sense (the optic has more stress the further away the shield is.
the only positive report i have to show currently is that the AR values for the self induced heating with the shield at its closest point are the same. i will cpntinue to debug these issues. |
