COMSOL modeling for the ring heater |

| Since last week, I have put the ring heater on the correct side of the optic and found that the thermal modelling is being limited by the solid mechanics of the optic, particularily the fixed point on the AR face of the optic. I have been looking into different methods of modelling but not found a solution as of yet. The silver lining is that i have managed to tie the displacement to the parameter sweep. i have also started reading and learning Braket notation again ahead of the next step for a true parameter sweep. I will try and see if i can send the file to the COMSOL engineers aswell. I have not yet checked if the displacements are accurate given the powers im simulating, so it is by no means a final result. |
